Every fall we hear the same thing around Temperance: “We can’t even park in the garage anymore.” If that sounds like your place, you’re in good company, and October is a great time to fix it before snow, holiday guests and the car all need that space back.

Why cleanouts pile up in the fall

Summer projects end, the patio furniture comes in, and the boxes from last year’s move are still sitting in the corner. Basements fill up the same way, one “I’ll deal with it later” at a time. By mid-October, a lot of folks in Lambertville, Monroe and Toledo are ready to just get it done.

Two easy ways we can help

• We do the work. Our junk removal crew comes out, loads everything up and hauls it away. You point, we lift. Great for garages, basements, attics and sheds.

• You do the work, we bring the trailer. Rent one of our 13-yard or 18-yard dump trailers, load it at your own pace, and we pick it up when you’re done. The 13-yard fits most single-garage cleanouts, and the 18-yard is the better pick for a full garage plus basement.

A few tips before cleanout day

• Sort into three piles first: keep, donate and toss. It makes the day go much faster.

• Leave a clear path from the garage or basement door to the driveway.

• Bag loose small stuff so it loads quickly and doesn’t blow around.

• Ask us before loading paint, chemicals or tires so there are no surprises.

Bigger 16- and 20-yard roll-offs are coming soon, but for most home cleanouts our dump trailers or our crew will handle it just fine.
